Cary is known for its fantastic shopping, world-class restaurants, and many options available to residents. Waverly Place an outdoor mall, is a local favorite for shopping and dining. The shopping center features a few national chains, such as Whole Foods Market. Additionally, the mall has many locally owned shops, including Pineapple Sol, a one-of-a-kind restaurant offering high tea, fresh pastries, and breakfast and lunch options. In addition to the restaurant, Pineapple Sol offers custom luxury picnic and high tea events and catering services for weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations
 
Fenton Cary is another shopping mall with many national and regional chain stores, such as Williams-Sonoma. In addition, the mall consists of a Paragon Theater where you can find the Agency Bar and Social, a restaurant that serves both the public and theater attendees. The bar has patio seating and giant indoor and outdoor video screens where guests can enjoy multiple sporting events.
 
In the downtown area, Bond Brothers Brewing is a local brewery with two locations in Cary. The first is the brewery and bar on Cedar Street, which offers local beer, snacks, and a casual vibe. Kids and dogs are welcome, and the location even has coloring pages available. The second location is on East Chatham, a music venue and bar. This location has a variety of musical acts and an extensive beer and wine list, fantastic food options, and a hip and fun atmosphere.
 
The Umstead Hotel and Spa offers various services to residents. Enjoy a day at the spa where guests can experience the relaxing atmosphere and be pampered with luxurious services, including Swedish massage, an organic facial, a soothing manicure, and a pedicure. Also in the hotel is Herons, a Forbes Five-Star restaurant known for its luxurious atmosphere and fantastic food. The restaurant has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options and a weekend brunch. Guest can enjoy their meal with a full kitchen view through large glass windows.

Things to Do

When it comes to activities and events, Cary has plenty to offer residents. Community events are common, and residents enjoy gathering for festivals and entertainment.
 
The Koka Booth Amphitheater is where area residents go to enjoy incredible music, movies, and other entertainment. The amphitheater is also home to multiple festivals, including Asia Fest, also known as the Greater Triangle Dragon Boat Festival. The event draws over 10,000 visitors to the area and has many cultural exhibits, activities, and ethnic foods. The amphitheater is also home to the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival, a celebration of art and culture. View beautiful Chinese lanterns and experience performances based on Chinese culture.
 
The Cary Arts Center is another cultural gem. The center has art exhibitions, annual events, and various classes and camps focusing on the arts. Courses include painting, drawing, acting and performance, and woodworking, to name a few. In addition, renting a room or the theater for a conference, meeting, or another event is an option.
 
The Umstead State Park is the perfect location for anyone who loves the outdoors and fantastic scenery. The park has multiple hiking trails that take you through wooded areas, lakes, and rivers to explore, and the site is a favorite hiking location.
 
Spend the day at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, where you can enjoy multiple baseball fields, a multi-use green space, walking and hiking trails, and the Lazy Daze Playground, an outdoor activity area for children in a beautiful grove of trees. The park is also home to the Sertoma Amphitheater, a challenge rope course, and a community center with many activities and events for residents to enjoy.
